SUMMARY:Eat to Thrive Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Set within the expansive wilderness of the Greater Kruger\, Sashwa River of Stars offers a rare kind of stillness. Wide open skies\, flowing riverbeds\, and a deep sense of quiet create the perfect environment to reconnect with the body and the natural rhythms that sustain it. \nThe Eat to Thrive Retreat is a four-night\, immersive experience designed for those who want to rediscover their relationship with food in a way that feels intuitive\, grounded\, and sustainable. Guided by plant-based chef and food designer Arabella Parkinson\, the retreat brings together nourishment\, education\, and lived experience. \nEach day follows a gentle rhythm. Mornings begin with stillness and time in nature\, creating space to tune into the body. Midday invites learning and integration\, exploring the connection between the gut\, nervous system\, and overall wellbeing. Afternoons are hands-on\, where participants cook\, create\, and engage directly with food in a way that builds both skill and confidence. Evenings soften into shared meals\, connection\, and rest. \nArabella’s approach is rooted in simplicity. Drawing on nutrition\, sustainability science\, and Ayurvedic principles\, she works with plant-based ingredients to support digestion\, regulate the nervous system\, and bring ease back into the way we eat. This is not about rigid rules or perfection\, but about understanding how food can support both body and mind in a practical\, lasting way. \nParticipants leave with practical cooking skills\, a deeper understanding of how the body responds to food\, and a renewed sense of joy and confidence in the kitchen and beyond.
