There is a quiet kind of return that happens in the presence of the wild.

This four night yoga safari retreat unfolds at Sashwa River of Stars, set above the flowing Olifants River in the vast landscape of the Greater Kruger. Here, elephants gather at the water’s edge, birds move through the trees and the rhythm of nature becomes something you begin to feel within yourself.

This is an invitation into stillness, wildness and wonder.

Days begin early, with guided walks or game drives as the bush awakens. Movement follows, with grounding Vinyasa practices that reconnect body and breath. Afternoons soften into Yin, with space to rest, swim, reflect or simply watch life unfold. Evenings return to the wild, with sunset drives and dinners beneath expansive African skies, accompanied by the distant sounds of hippos and lions.

Yoga is guided by Kristi Tate and Joëlle Sleebos, offering two complementary teaching styles. All levels are welcome, with practices designed to support both beginners and experienced practitioners.

Meals are seasonal, plant based and thoughtfully prepared to nourish and restore, with wine and local beer included.

Rooted in a deep respect for the land and its wildlife, this experience invites a slower way of being. One that listens, observes and reconnects.
